Hi, I'm Izabella Alpert
Board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner and founder of Clarity MindCare, offering secure telehealth care for children, teens and adults in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Florida and Oregon. Sessions are available in English or Russian.
Calm, focused, whole-person care
Before specializing in mental health, I worked as a registered nurse in the operating room, an experience that shaped my deep respect for preparation, precision, and the human capacity to heal under pressure. I bring that same calm, focused presence to my psychiatric work.
My approach is integrative and whole person-centered. I offer medication management, therapy, supplement recommendations grounded in high-quality research, and lifestyle guidance tailored to your needs. I help people navigate difficult periods in their lives, and while medication can be an important part of that process, I don’t believe it’s always a lifelong solution. When appropriate, I support clients in safely tapering off medications, offering guidance and care every step of the way.
My goal is to provide a clear, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to move toward lasting change. You can reach me directly at izabella@claritymindcare.com.

Experience that shapes my care
From the operating room to psychiatry
After earning my BSN at Thomas Jefferson University, I worked as an operating-room nurse at Temple University Hospital and Trinity Health, then as a psychiatric RN at Brooke Glen Behavioral Hospital, before becoming a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
Experience with children and families
I taught K–8 and English as a second language in the School District of Philadelphia, and I still draw on that experience when working with children, teens and their families.
Careful, evidence-based thinking
I studied journalism at Temple University and worked as a medical editor, turning research into clear, accurate writing. I've also trained clinicians around the world.
When I'm not working, you'll usually find me hiking in the Catskills or the Hudson Valley (and foraging for mushrooms along the way), traveling somewhere new, enjoying art and live music, or dancing at a festival.
